wingnut 0 #1 March 10, 2004 okay, so thelast couple night i come home to no little green light on my dsl modem.. so i say wtf... i pick up my phone and no dial tone..... well i unplug everything, plug it back in still nothing... call the phone company, oh it test bad on your end to.. what a reciver off hook.. no i onlyhave one phone pluged in to the line and it's on hook.... okay send out somebody... so they do.. at 10am.. mind you i don't have to be at work untill 4pm.... i get woken up.... okay they fixed it... no i can reaserch stuff... nedx night same thing......... and another knock atthe door at 10am... well i get it fixed yesterday and all is good.. just anoyd the hell out of me cuz i'm coming home from work at 1am and there is nothing to do untill i go to leep but surf the internet for a while or edit some old video over and over again..... each time they tell me it's gona cost me 85 bucks if they find the problem is inside the house.. funny thknis i have eaxtly one wire(pair of wire actually cuz ya know ya need two wires for a circut) runnign from the wire that comes in the hose to my room and to my phone..... not complicated and i check it before i called them........ug.. but they ended up replacing the wire that runs from the pole to the house and it seems to work.. last night was the first nightt his wek i was able to get online this week.....it is so nice to beable to read all the wierd and crazy posts here.... heheh i ishould test my line again for conection speed.. wonder if the faulty wire coing to the house had degraded it... hmm..maybe thisis a good thing... i'll have to check... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version" Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
