My car is a stick. I don't know wtf i'm gonna do when i get home. I called my coworker today and she said she can pick me up from the airport. As for work, I think i know someone that will pick me up for work everyday, but getting home will be a problem. Ugh, i can't believe this crap.

Okay, this might be a silly question, but... Sunny is saying that her ankle is hurting worse. Is this normal for a broken bone? I've never broken a bone (knock on wood) so I'm only guessing when I say I think it's normal cuz it's still swelling at this point.

Help me out please.

Normal.. The shock is wearing off and the pain is setting in. Sometimes it'll feel better and she'll think it's getting better and then she'll hit it on something and will have a sharp and lasting reminder that that bone is broken. It sucks.. broken bones are no fun.

Yeah...the day after the break is usually pretty bad. That's when it has had time to swell up and pull the break farther apart. The swelling will go down over the next couple days and it SHOULD start to feel much better. Regardless of all the nasty colors it will turn.

Good to know. The swelling is why the ER doc didn't want me to fly for a few days. I have a history of blood clots in my leg, so she said flying would be very bad for me. My toes are so freakin swelled up and chubby it's icky. The pain is a lot worse today than yesterday. Thank god i have good friends here in CA that took care of me. And iwan is being so awesome about letting me stay here an extra few days to rest before going home.

Wow....yes....DVT is very dangerous. Especially if you have a history. You might even ask the Doc about a blood thinner or at least some aspirin to reduce the chances. Once the swelling goes down the cast will be downright annoying. After 5 weeks in a cast I told them that either they were going to cut it off or I would. Then I got the cast off and still couldn't walk on it for another couple weeks.
