quade 4 #2 March 11, 2004 Did you realize there is some goofy stuff in the Flash file? Check out the warning that popped up on my screen. My guess is that the site hides some trojan horse of some sort.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
tunaplanet 0 #3 March 11, 2004 Never got that warning. Forty-two
tunaplanet 0 #4 March 11, 2004 The website is here. You can put anyone's name in there. www.youaremyfriend.com Forty-two
quade 4 #5 March 11, 2004 You probably don't have all the security features turned on in whatever you use to play flash files.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
Gawain 0 #6 March 11, 2004 That's what I use BlackICE for. That way I don't have every Windows-based-Tom-Dick-&-Harry-Pop-up warning in the world. So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright 'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life Make light! tunaplanet 0 #7 March 11, 2004 It's a perfectly safe site. The site has been around for a while. The guy started it off as a joke and then he got massive hits. It's a cool concept and program. Forty-two
quade 4 #8 March 11, 2004 Uh huh . . . I looked at the site in a safe mode and what I don't understand is why the Flash file would need to send or receive anything -specifically- from your computer in order to work. So, why is it trying? There -must- be something it's trying to do. Yes, it sounds altruistic doesn't it. Yes, it has a beautiful sentiment. It just doesn't look right though. -SOMETHING- is going on there.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
tunaplanet 0 #9 March 11, 2004 QuoteSOMETHING- is going on there. Lol, and here I thought you only got paranoid when it comes to politics. I see it goes deeper Forty-two
quade 4 #10 March 11, 2004 Me? I'm not paranoid! Who told you I was paranoid? I've never been paranoid in my life. Somebody must have started that rumor. Who told you. It was skybytch wasn't it? Or maybe that no good rotten JP. They've both been conspiring against me the whole time. I'm telling you I'm not paranoid! Why should I be paranoid anyway? Just because AT&T is sending me one of those new GPRS telephones with a tracking chip in it and I don't want to use it because Big Brother will be able to track my every move and don't even get me started on my Ralph's Club card that thing is pure evil -- did you know it tracks every purchase you make so if you want to store up on ammonia for instance (and I'm not saying that I am mind you) it knows every bottle you've ever bought? Look, I swear I'm not paranoid.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
hookitt 1 #11 March 11, 2004 Quades onto something... that site messes with your computer and immeadiately installs spyware of some sort.My grammar sometimes resembles that of magnetic refrigerator poetry... Ghetto

bch7773 0 #13 March 11, 2004 all its doing when it pops up that message is it is trying to read the name of the friend from the address bar... try denying it, and it does the entire clip with no name in there. if you allow it, it does the exact same thing except now the name shows up.
