AggieDave 6 #1 March 13, 2004 Check this out, I FINALLY got passed a serious song writing block I've had for a couple months. Talk about piss you off, I've wrote 3 or 4 songs (atleast) during that time that all really really sucked. Finally, I think I broke the curse. Its based on a simple 3-chord progression, but the progession actually sounds pretty good. Atleast it does when the song is being sung. QuoteThe 8-ball is neutral by David Lund 03-12-2004 E-G-D Up and down life plays you around and where you land is anyone's guess you can try to go big play the hard shots but in the end you're only dead Find a girl to love sent down from heaven above and plan your future life with her through all the fights you turn out the lights 'cause she don't love you back A girl falls in love although you try to run you know you're gonna break her heart so you let it slide while you're trying to let go and her heart breaks any how You can plan and try although you don't know why life plays its game with you no matter what happens you feel you've been destine so you play the good and the bad take your shots with whatever you got the 8-ball's always neutral you know that some will go in but some will shank out and the game will end for you so live your life with a gun in your hand make your own future you might win at this game if you take a chance but without a try, you'll lose up and down life plays you around where you land is anyones guess you can try to go big play the hard shots but in the end you're still dead--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #3 March 13, 2004 Its actually not really a country song...its just a song, I guess it sounds similar to the style that a lot of singer/songwriters I know play in...sort of like Hank Billings. But then again, they're all from TX, so probably.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."

AggieDave 6 #6 March 13, 2004 I've been wanting to do that, but I don't really know anyone with a 4-track...I might be able to run it through my computer and do it, with my acoustic pickup...hmmmm...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
