ChasingBlueSky 0 #1 March 14, 2004 Figured we needed an ongoing thread where you could recommend any type of music, song, group, CD, etc..... I've recently discovered Robert Randolph and the Family Band - anything you hear from him is amazing. Check out his site www.RobertRandolph.net for some samples. I guess you would place him in the Blues section, but I can see how he could be considered Rock as well. I've read reviews comparing him to Duane Allman, and can easily hear that in his music. Also, Jet is a great new band - a mix of the Rolling Stones and AC/DC. What would you recommend?_________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... I WILL fly again..... skybytch 273 #7 March 14, 2004 Coheed and Cambria. I heard about them on the radio and then found their website. There are a few free downloads there. Not sure if I like them or not yet. I want to like them cuz Cambria is the name of the little town I grew up in. I know some of you are gonna laugh at me, but I really, really like The Atari's "So Long Astoria" CD. AggieDave 6 #12 March 15, 2004 Hank Billings, his music just kicks ass. He's a Texas Singer Songwriter (no he does NOT play "country" he plays singer songwriter). http://www.hankbillings.com/--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
