wingnut 0 #1 March 15, 2004 kay so i'm atthe luccky boogie in mesquite nevada just chilling with amazon and jt and the crew.. and i already saw amazon have her cutaway... and well now i'm going up on a second attempt at a hybrid jump. there are 10 of us for this planned jump. it was gona be cool... 9 cameras outa 10 jumpers... (yeah we were all freeflyers) so we exit it and well the base funneled a littlwe then righted and then one of the hangers docked and then i tried to dock got one grip on a legstrap and then funneled the base... oh well.... tried to rebuild it.. got a 4 way going again then breakoff.... i'm tracking like a mofo... deploy and good canopy, one hell of a snivel on this one but it was nice...... open about 2.5k.... so i look down and see a freebag.. looking for the canopy and i see it... it's above me.... i throw on the brakes and hang out.. i'm watching ken try and spiral down to get it... nope, he missed it.... i'm gona get it.... i'm in perfect position and am able to snag it with my hand..... got my angle of it and ken's... gona put together a short video of my jumps there and upload it to skydivingmovies.com tommorow.... i think it i pretty cool... and yes i know that catching a cutaway canopy in flight is dangerous as it can get cought in your lines and such and cause you to have to cutaway.....understood the risk and went for it... landed with it between my legs....to bad the guy from the tv station had laready left.... that would of been cool to get on his show...... p.s. some of my footage from my jumps at the boogie might and i say might appear on a tv show on local tv in utah... shold be cool if it does happen.... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version" Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
