sunshine 2 #10 March 14, 2004 Doc wanted me to stay in the hospital, but my crapass insurance company wouldn't allow it. I NEED to win a new jumpsuit after what the medics did to mine. awww...like it's not bad enough you're grounded and broke your ankle, they ruined your jumpsuit?? when they went to cut off the wrapping the EMTs put on my ankle to stabalize it for the ambulance ride, I commented, "please don't cut my jumpsuit...it's a $300 jumpsuit.." the doctor replied, "I have 7000 jumps - I know about jumpsuits. I'm not going to cut it." and they didn't. Why did they cut your jumpsuit?? that sucks. Glad to hear your surgery went well..had mine on Thursday and was at the DZ on saturday. didn't jump, obviously...but I was there. hope you heal fast... -------------------------------------------- Elfanie My Skydiving Page Fly Safe - Soft Landings

freeflir29 0 #19 March 14, 2004 You're such a wuss. All you got was a tiny little plate and a couple of screws? Geez. Hope you're feeling better sweetheart!
 hookitt 1 #20 March 14, 2004 QuoteWhy did they cut your jumpsuit This isn't a smart ass answer, seriously, to get it off of her. Sunny wasn't able to move very easily. Every motion was obviously painful. It's possible that the suit could have been peeled off but it was much quicker and safer to cut it. It was not going to be an easy chore and paramedics sometimes have to just do what they have to when doing their job. I'd stepped away prior to that but I took her legstraps and helped remove the rig. That was difficult enough to do with out causing undo pain waiting for the Paramedics. It's a bummer, but sometimes that's the only safe way to remove the offending article of clothing. Sunnyone, I'll bet you heal much sooner with the new metal in your ankle.
