falxori 0 #1 March 15, 2004 not trying to start another "who's right" thread. In a world so filled with terror, this report might not shock you, but to me, its another line that has been crossed. the sad fact is that i was unable to find this report in any major news site. i've finally found it hidden within another story on the BBC website. just read it and think... i can say for myself that naturally i'm happy it was prevented and lives were saved, but i'm also very happy for this poor child who was used in such a way. BBC report QuoteAlso on Monday, troops at a West Bank checkpoint arrested a 10-year-old boy carrying a bomb into Israel, the army said. "It was a pretty serious bomb, between seven and 10 kilograms (about 15-22 pounds)," an officer told Israeli Army Radio. "It was ready for detonation, apparently with a mobile phone." Sources said the boy - a porter known to the Israelis - had no idea what he was carrying, and that he was released after questioning. simply sad. strange it didn't get more headlines. freeflir29 0 #4 March 15, 2004 There was the case of a guy putting his pregnant girlfriend on an airplane with a bomb in her suitcase. She had no idea. Luckily security found it. Many instances in Vietnam too.

tunaplanet 0 #6 March 15, 2004 Quotenot trying to start another "who's right" thread. Usually when a thread starts out with a disclaimer, it's 9 times out of 10 EXACTLY what the disclaimer says it's not. Forty-two

EricaH 0 #8 March 16, 2004 It is a terrible tragedy. Not new, but terrible. Children, spouses & unknowing strangers have been used for ages. There are many many children being used to carry drugs accros national lines every day; typically they are in danger of over-dosing - sad for them, but better for the poeple around them rather than a bomb. I'm suprised/horrified it didn't get more coverage. But that would have led me to think that it was not that unusual. Falxori - you are often in my thoughts, as my other acquaintances living daily under the constant thread of death. Blessings to you. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
flypunk 0 #9 March 16, 2004 very close to a time when terrorist offered a bag of food to a homeless child and his brother (both under 7 years old), in exchange for taking a bag to a man inside a restaurant. The bag had a bomb which they set off when he went through the doors If you feel that there is a right side to using children this way, you are a very pathetic individual. ...
