skymama 37 #5 March 14, 2004 3 (Skymonkeys in town plus Billy Bob):4:0 Deland was rocking yesterday with beautiful blue skies, the FSL Shamrock Showdown and even a boy band at night! The icing on the cake was having Chuck, Katie and Scott in town. Katie takes pictures all night long, no one's reputation is safe with her around. I jumped with NeedsToJump, and I did my first Double Spocks with him. (Don't even tell me that's beer worthy. ) He said his poor head took a beating the first couple of times I tried it. Thanks for taking one for the team, Ari! On the soccer mom front, I left the dz at 2:30 to catch a game. I'm so glad I did. My son usually plays Sweeper on defense. The coach was pissed at the offense at half-time, so he moved the entire defense forward. My son scored a goal by just doing a header off a corner kick! I think he probably smiled in his sleep all night long. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon

jceman 1 #7 March 14, 2004 1 sick lady on my hands:1:0 TLML and I finally got back into the air on Friday after nine weeks of battling colds/flu/weather and she felt drained afterwards, by early evening it was apparent something she had eaten did not agre with her. She spent the majority of the past 36 hours on the throne or the couch and I got tu use my nursing skills. She's better today, thnakfully, and even ate breakfast, though she did not go to work today -- still pretty weak. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
MarkM 0 #8 March 14, 2004 :7:0 Bruise some ribs on my 2nd jump of the day on Friday(extremely violent opening), got 2 more in on that day and thanks to Advil I managed 3 more on Saturday. Hurt too much to jump today though
Nightingale 0 #9 March 14, 2004 ouch! bruised ribs are awful!!!!! I had a pretty nasty opening yesterday too. Canopy didn't have much snivel and slammed open, whipped around in a circle, and somehow the riser slapped me in the arm. I've got some pretty colorful legstrap bruises, and if you look at the bruise on my arm, you can see a perfect outline of the three rings.

MarkM 0 #12 March 14, 2004 Ouch. No 3 ring impressions, but I do have a nasty riser scrape on my neck. My chest is what hurts me the most though, that's where I took the brunt of the opening shock. I recently went from deploying at 5k to deploying at 3.5k, so I was a lot more amped about getting my PC out. I think that killed my body position which is what got me hurt on the opening. Needless to say I'm going to be a lot more focused on my body position during deployment from now on.

indyz 1 #22 March 14, 2004 0:1:0 Safety Day took most of my Saturday. After that, I did one jump (funnelled 3-way horny gorilla attempt). Then I went to the hotel and did my water training. After 2 1/2 years and 222 jumps, I'm finally just a couple of signatures away from being B licensed and a couple of accuracy landings away from my C. canopycandy 0 #25 March 14, 2004 :0:0 The weather was too nasty to jump Friday. And I had a weird feeling on Saturday, so I opted to not jump. Therefore, zero cases of beer owed.
