quade 4 #1 March 17, 2004 . . . if you're willing to stand up and become the country's biggest jackass for the day. Today's biggest jackass -- J.C. Fugate, Commissioner, Rhea County, Tennessee. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,114467,00.htmlquade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
turtlespeed 226 #2 March 17, 2004 Rhea County (search) commissioners unanimously voted to ask state lawmakers to introduce legislation amending Tennessee's criminal code so the county can charge homosexuals (search) with crimes against nature. The state senator who represents Rhea County, Tommy Kilby, D-Wartburg, said Wednesday he hadn't seen the resolution and couldn't comment on it until he did. "Yesterday in Judiciary Committee, they passed out a bill basically saying we will not recognize same-sex partnerships or civil unions from other states or foreign countries. I voted for that, and that's my position on that issue," Kilby said. . . . If you read into the Kilby's votes - I don't think that Rhea County is lacking all that much in support. hence the word "Commissioners" plural, and at least a simple majority vote.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

jlmiracle 7 #4 March 17, 2004 OMG! I wish every homosexual would move to that county and push those idiots out. This is embarrasing to me, as I live in Tennessee (but the OTHERside of the state). How can people be so hateful and stupid? JudyBe kinder than necessary because everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

Rebecca 0 #6 March 17, 2004 Holy crap. Which decade, exactly, are we in these days? 'Course, were I homosexual, I certainly wouldn't be living in the most conservative county of Tenn., either, so this whole thing may come to nothing... but still. What a jackass. He can inherit my wind. Pffffrrrrrt. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
DrunkMonkey 0 #7 March 17, 2004 Rednecks like this ought to be sterilized. I am still waiting for the "I don't care what hole you bugger" box on the whole same sex marriage ballot initative...

PhillyKev 0 #9 March 17, 2004 QuoteRhea County, about 30 miles north of Chattanooga, is among the most conservative in Tennessee. It holds an annual festival commemorating the 1925 trial that convicted John T. Scopes on charges of teaching evolution, oh boy

DrunkMonkey 0 #15 March 17, 2004 I meant narrowminded rednecks ought not breed, and pass on their narrow minded views. hence sterilization. Joke, people---relax. I personally don't mind gays marrying. Doesn't pick my pocket or restrict my freedom. Have at it...with a 50% divorce rate in the hetero community, it's gonna be a mixed bag for them also... Should they be sterilized too? why I think they should be sterilized is because people like that only breed to teach hate and intolerace. Homosexuals, in general, don't breed. Some do adopt and some go about it other ways, but from what I've seen from those that do have children, they don't teach them hate, they don't teach them intolerance and in the case of adoption they EARN their right to be parents. turtlespeed 226 #18 March 17, 2004 See, the thing is - that in that area - there is a majority of people that will not _EVER_condone homosexuality. They have thier opinion just as you have your opinion. You simply choose not to live there. If it's agioanst the law there - then move. If it were against the law for me to skydive somewhere, I'd move to where it is legal. Pretty cut and dry and simple.I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama BTR #1 / OTB^5 Official #2 / Hellfish #408 / VSCR #108/Tortuga/Orfun

lawrocket 3 #22 March 17, 2004 Interesting. There was some stuff cut off about alcohol and zoning. These clowns need to get a life. Perhaps if they spent a little more time pleasing their spouses they would spend a little less time trying to stop others from exercising their free will. My wife is hotter than your wife. crzjp20 0 #23 March 17, 2004 ok so im not that hip with homosexuality, and i feel i have a right to have thatopinion. But i also feel that homosexuals have the right to do what they wish. This is a free country and sodomy laws were struck down by courts in the 1900's. yeah im a good old redneck too. but i think that as americans we can ahve a difference of opinion and still be concidered friends, and not enemys.-------------------------------------------------- Fear is not a confession of weakness, it is an oportunity for courage.
