WrongWay 0 #1 March 17, 2004 Okay, so here's my idea for my next tat, which I've posted before, but after some talking, thought, blah blah blah.....some ideas have been brought to mind. Here's the basic idea. This will cover my left deltoid. Imagine a big circle of closing pins linked together. There's a guy flying head down in front of the circle, so his limbs and head are overlapping it. Now here's the posed question......I wanted the flyer to have my jumpsuit, but then it'd kinda look like I had a tat of myself on well, myself, and that could be taken narcisistically, which would be bad of course cuz it's not the meaning. So do ya think I should use my jumpsuit itself, or just the colors?? Also, I was thinking maybe it'd be cool to make the flyer birdlike, like replace his head with the head of a blue jay (cuz some call me blue jay or jay bird for some nutzo reason) and make the jumpsuit kinda feathery or something. WrongWay 0 #7 March 17, 2004 Nope, no drawings of it yet, a very cool dz.commer said he'd help me out on it, and I might have my artist from my first tat draw something up for me, but none yet. Basically just think of the flyer, cuz I can add in the background in the design process. I really just wanna know if you think people would take it the wrong way (no pun intended) and if the bird idea is a cool one or a dumb one. My other piece of advice: remember that your skin won't look so great in a few years. I'll never understand girls who put tats on their backs, bellies, butts, etc. That'll be gross soon. I enjoyed the challenge to draw what you described but of course this is my interpretation....(didn't spend too much time on wings) but luv flight of birds. I feed my stellar jays peanuts every day and often watch them dive bomb- need to catch an image on my camera of that!! They are so cool, can duplicate sounds of other birds and love to play- real smart asses! I have a chair on my deck with work shirt hanging on the back of it. I stash the peanuts in the pocket so when I am wearing the shirt, they land on me to grab one. Mistakenly often call them blue jays... You get a tattoo because you appreciate it and love it for the time you have it, in the location you have it. It's there for life, might as well have it somewhere it looks good. If you were old and saggy, you shouldn't be showing off those areas anyway, regardless of messed up tattoos. If something fucks up the tattoo, the meaning is still there, you didn't get it because you care what people think of it. You get it because you like it and it carries meaning (I know this is the reason my friends and I have chosen to modify our bodies as such. Definitely not for the weak at heart or those with low selfesteem.
