Well, kind of a surprise to me but not really.

I went into work today (on time as usual,) the boss came up to me and said I need to talk to you in Human Resources. Yep, you guessed it,

I got fired today.

First time fired......... is that a case of beer? At least I have my weekends off again.

Sucks losing the job, you'll find another-hopefully w/ a better schedule. At least you can come out and hang w/ the Snohomish crowd on weekends now. You can bring beer after you get a new job.

that sucks, i'm sorry to hear it, hope things start looking up for you soon.

a friend of mine just got royally screwed by his company yesterday, they hired him two months ago as an account manager, he brought with him a massive client base from a pervious position, downloaded all the info into their computer systems, brought in heaps of new work and as soon as he finished giving them the details of all the clients they fired him, the very same day. he was still in the trial peroid so no 4 weeks pay, no warning, nothing. they told him they didn't want to go into the reasons for laying him off, jerks.

yeah he's understandably heaps upset about it, seems they only hired him for the knowledge he had and as soon as they got it all they let him go. He's going to speak with the department of unfair dismissals or whatever it's called to see if you have to be given warnings in a trial period or not.
