mouth 0 #1 March 18, 2004 That's right 3 of us got to start off the Roaming DZ boogie early this afternoon by "testing" the helicopter. It was so sweet. Not bad for a Wed in Dublin, GA where there is no DZ officially until Friday and will be gone Sunday. Life is good. Miss all you guys. Hope everyone is being safe and playing nice. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.

mouth 0 #3 March 18, 2004 My thoughts exactly. I'm thinking we need to try it out tomorrow afternoon too just in case there is a problem that should be "fixed". I'm thinking my jump numbers for helo's is going to rise this weekend. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. Beerlight 0 #4 March 18, 2004 Hey, that's awesome. Question, with the Roaming DZ, what kind of advertising are they conducting in the local area? Planning on drawing out the natives for lots of tandems?

mouth 0 #6 March 18, 2004 Roamingdz.com is the web site. We are a group of GA jumpers who got tired of all the fussing between DZs and figured the best way to build friendships and meet new peeps was to open our own portable DZ. Chris Spence (cspencefly on here) had the idea about 2 years ago and started having boogies in his back yard. We were talking right before Christmas and Dublin was the obvious choice with the St Pats festival going on all month to draw a crowd. I started things locally and he got to work on the plane. It has now grown to a Grand Caravan, THE Super Pimp Daddy King Air, and a sweet helicopter (which we tried out yesterday). Local advertising has been trough the St Pats festival so they do it all. We taped a TV show yesterday that will air today. There have been radio spots throughout the month and brochures sent to Chambers of Commerce all over the Southeast. At first we expected about 20-30 jumpers and a few tandems. As of now we are expecting over 100 jumpers and probably at least 30 tandems. (I have over 20 with deposits and at least 5 people to call back) Less than a month ago I called several gear dealers who have been so gracious in sending prizes. We have tunnel time, tee shirts, water bottles, gear bags, pull up cords, free jump tickets, and lot so f percents off rigs, helmets and jumpsuits from many dealers. Alti-2, Mirage and Jump Shack are coming up to play. (THANKS GANG.....you ROCK) Marguritas are the green beverage of choice along with Heinekin...of course. Chick Fil A and Brusters ice cream have donated 100 free coupons for everyone. We have ribs and chicken made famous by Chris plus live entertainment and someone spinning late into the night. Dublin has a large enough airport that you can land a DC 9 if you are so inclined...hint hint Perris. Landing is great here. If you aren't coming...well you are gonna miss a grand time. Of course the fact that the helicopter will need another test jump today after I get off work doesn't hurt either. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit. Paige 0 #7 March 18, 2004 Sounds like a great time chica. I'm still waiting to hear back for the finances for the rig. I'm assuming it may come as a graduation present. I'll keep you posted asap when I find out what is going on. Please in the mean time look for another seller if you are really wanting to get rid of it because I know I have taken a while to get back with you. That large lump some of cash is hard for a broke college kid with no job to spot. Gotta have some help from the fam. then I can pay them off. Hope all is well with you. Sounds like the jump was awesome. It's fuckin cold as hell up here. Send me some sunshineTunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com

mouth 0 #9 March 19, 2004 Fun part is I got to do it again today. This so rocks. If I had a DZ close I'd be so poor I couldn't pay attention. Gee, I guess now I MUST make another just to keep my streak going. -- Hot Mama At least you know where you stand even if it is in a pile of shit.
