Skyrad 0 #1 March 19, 2004 OK, I haven't jumped in the UK this year. Every time I have a weekend I can jump the weather is PANTS! Was hoping for this weekend but now we get gales and rain forcasted. So how are the rest of you doing? This carries on much longer I'm back off to Sebastian! When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. vt1977 0 #2 March 19, 2004 I did 2 jumps at Netheravon last Saturday. Could have done more but it really was getting a bit too windy! There has actually been a fair amount of jumping going on at Nethers this year, assuming you don't mind being really, really cold! Vicki

THat's a new one...Even though I read damn near every UK author I can get my mitts on, the translation of "Pants" escapes me. lol... Is UK wx really that dismal more often that not?? Skyrad 0 #5 March 19, 2004 Pants = Crap, Rubbish, Useless. And yes at this time of year the weather is totaly unpredictable, utter pants. When an author is too meticulous about his style, you may presume that his mind is frivolous and his content flimsy. mr2mk1g 10 #6 March 19, 2004 To brits when we hear "pants" we don't have an image of a pair of jeans or some slacks - we see some big, oversized Y-fronts that are slightly greying. Not a great image hey? Now apply that image to a concept!
DrunkMonkey 0 #7 March 19, 2004 At least y'all in the UK have real beer, not the shit we have here. American beer is like sex in a canoe...Both are fu**ing close to water.. Although my friend stationed in Mildenhall informs me that a book entitled "The great chefs of English Cuisine" would be a rather short book...I just could never bring myself to order a dish called "Spotted Dick..." So the spectators have enough time to get drunk on american beer. This weather is pissing me off, I don't have a car at the moment so I have to arrange in advance when I can reach the dropzone, and I keep picking PANTS days.Do you want to have an ideagasm? Here in Frederick, Maryland, we've got some kickass breweries around here. And you can even get them at the local minor league baseball games!
