CrazyIvan 0 #26 March 22, 2004 QuoteOnly 4 times in the theatre? Slacker. Well...only 4 because I was invited 4 times . Oh yeah, I remember that, the ones I saw were blooddy and cut in 2, gee, thank God I didn't see the 'PG-10' version, because it would add more disapointment, I mean, a bad ass looking villain deserved a more appropiate death. Darth Maul was a wimp.__________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
Kennedy 0 #27 March 22, 2004 Have to go with Ivan on this one, it was a great fight, but flipping over his head and swinging back? Come on, darth maul deserved better. That's like letting boba fett die to a random blaster deflection. And to all who'd say he died of a goofy swing by a blind smuggler: piss off, he's not dead. The version I saw he fell away then split in two, but there was little to no blood. I have to say I've become disenchanted with the movies in general. The post emperor books are a fun distraction, but quality there has varied.witty subliminal message Guard your honor, let your reputation fall where it will, and outlast the bastards. 1*

ChasingBlueSky 0 #31 March 22, 2004 Quote I have to say I've become disenchanted with the movies in general. The post emperor books are a fun distraction, but quality there has varied. When the extended universe SW books started in the early 90s I was as happy as a geeky college student could be. The Zhan novels with Thrawn were fantastic and had nailed the feel of the original trilogy. The books maintained that feel up till "Truce at Bakura and Crystal Star" when they took a major dump in quality and storytelling. I would read some others from time to time - but I eventually gave up after "Courtship of Leia" and that stupid spin off from the Ninetendo game. I've heard what they done since (killed off Anakin Jr and Chewy) and won't even waste my time. Oh, and the lack of quality as we approached of these books combined with the re-release Special Editions of the first trilogy had me fearing what Lucas was going to do with the next three. Too bad my fears were right. I'm glad he said he will never do the rumored Ep 7-9...I don't think they could ever be as the Zahn novels._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me....
