eeneR 3 #1 March 24, 2004 My Doctor rocks!!!! I have come down with a sinus infection, and damnit I am still out of work with no insurance......I called the office prepared to pay the $300 or what ever for the scripts etc.... They call me back and tell me that they have everything I need available as a sample, so it will cost me nothing..... God bless that office.... Slappie 9 #4 March 24, 2004 My girlfriend does the same thing for me. If it's something that comes in samples, she works for a doctor and normally can snag us whatever is needed in samples. My only problem with that is the cost of meds to begin with. The samples have maybe 4-7 pills in them, but they're packaging could contain 2 years worth sometimes. I'll get off my soapbox about the drug companies.. AntiPinkChrissy 0 #6 March 24, 2004 That is great! Sorry to hear you are not well though. Whenever I am prescribed somthing I always ask for a sample. I use to work in a Doctors office so I didn't have to pay for prescriptions for years because we had closets full of samples. Even now with Rx coverage, I still ask for samples. ~La La Gang Member #2~

eeneR 3 #8 March 24, 2004 QuoteThat is great! Sorry to hear you are not well though. It could be a hell of a lot worse I will take a sinus infection over any of the other crap I could get stuck with and not have insurance My doc has been really good about giving me samples when he can, but I wasnt sure how this would work right now, and didnt want to assume he would just give it ALL to me. But he did....I have always liked him, as well...he understands skydiving, infact wants to jump but his wife wont let him, but she lets him BackCountry ski, cliff dive, SCUBA dive etc...but he cant skydive.... He is one hell of a kick ass doctor...I just hope he is covered under who ever my new insurance plan is...I dont want to have to switch. Needless to say my appointments with him tend to last a bit longer then normal as we have to tell storys of the latest escapades!!!
