wmw999 2,587 #1 March 24, 2004 Americans, there is no way that everyone in the world is going to approve of something we do. The closest we have ever come is in the few days after 9/11. Brits, same works for you. French, likewise. Everyone. Even you Australians (although the NZ'ers are so far away and they just had "Lord of the Rings" that maybe not them ) There's too many damn countries for anything to be universally approved of. Each does what they think is in their own interest at that particular moment. It might be something that's not so good for other countries, or their friends, or whatever. That doesn't make it OK to run rampant over the rights of other countries or people, and it doesn't negate that the more powerful a country is, the more it should study the international effects of its actions. But folks -- if you're angry because another country or its people didn't like what your country did, well, get over it. Understand why -- that's useful. There might have been a better way to achieve an overall end than the action taken, and there's always a next time. That is all. Now please return to your bickering. rehmwa 2 #2 March 24, 2004 I love that phrase. A teammate and I joked about the pain we receive whenever either one of us uses it with our wives. Had he stayed on the team this year we would have changed the team name to "Get Over It" - also works as we were the point piece with most of the verticals. ... Driving is a one dimensional activity - a monkey can do it - being proud of your driving abilities is like being proud of being able to put on pants

We have the largest GDP of any nation, but we rank 5th in income per capita, or GDP:POP behind; Switzerland, Japan, Norway, and Denmark.
