skybytch 273 #1 March 24, 2004 It's gonna be days before my pile of crap van is fixed so I picked up a rental car today. Cute little silver Pontiac Sunfire with less than 3500 miles on it. Handles decent, comfy seat, and it's a rental so I can drive it like I stole it! Unlimited mileage... and tomorrow is my day off It's gonna be hard to give it back and drive my pile of crap again - if it ever gets fixed that is. This isn't the nicest rental I've driven - that would have to be the Ford Excursion I drove cross country with a friend last year. That thing was SWEET - heated leather seats, CD changer, damn near did everything except provide oral sex. What's the coolest rental car you've driven? It drove fast, took quick corners, and was a great off-road vehicle that took me wherever I wanted to go - on or off road. Of course, it didn't get me back, but that wasn't my problem. Gawain 0 #3 March 24, 2004 Here's something fun to do with rentals: While you're sailing down the highway, bump the automatic gear lever into "neutral", then push the button and bump it into "reverse". I watched my dad do that to a Celica rental we had once while driving down US 1 in the Keys... Edit to add: The coolest one I've ever had was a Mitsubishi Montero Sport while I was in Dallas for 4 weeks a few years ago. Drove all over the place.
