sdgregory 0 #52 March 27, 2004 Oh there is the bruising I was referring to, Andrea. Damn, that looks painful. I am so glad that nothing is broken though. Oh and I had a long talk with that rut after you left for the hospital and it promises not to jump in front of anymore jumpers after a threat of being flattened. Seriously though, I was amazed at how high your sprits were. Your one tough mama.
skymama 37 #53 March 27, 2004 QuoteSeriously though, I was amazed at how high your sprits were. Your one tough mama. Thanks. It's either because I've been an athlete since I was a child, or because I'm so klutzy that I'm used to it, but pain doesn't usually make me cry. Bring it on, I can take it! But, while watching a Hallmark movie, and I'll cry like a little girl. She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
sdgregory 0 #54 March 27, 2004 Is that because the movie is so bad you are begging it to stop?

champu 1 #56 March 27, 2004 QuoteNot sure Safety Day could help with this one seeing as how gopher tortoises are protected species in the state of Florida and if you bury their hole (or get caught) there are BIG FINES to be paid. Does anyone think getting some of those little yard flags like they use to mark buried utility lines and placing them near the larger offending holes would help at all? Or would that just tweak people out that are trying to set up their landing pattern?
ACMESkydiver 0 #57 March 27, 2004 Aw, mama... Sorry you're hurt! I checked back in this thread to see how you're doing, and I see my first 'get better' post didn't post. -I think I clicked somewhere else before it finished uploading... I'm impatient!! Geesh when I broke my ankle a few years back it took EVERYTHING I had in me to stay conscious. It was one nasty break...but I only had my 3 little kids at home, so I had to stay conscious to crawl to a phone and call my hubby! Even with the break being that bad I don't remember mine turning purple like that...I do remember it being all yellow after surgery though. Take care of yourself, and FEEL BETTER!!!! tremendously!!! ~Jaye Do not believe that possibly you can escape the reward of your action.
elfanie 0 #58 March 27, 2004 Ya know...I'm not entirely sure that my ankle has any more bruising than yours! That looks...aweful!! You sure you didn't break anything? (you can break the fibula and still walk on it..) I have to say that I've sprained my ankle before..and now I've broken it (badly!)...and other than this crappy long recovery, I think I'd rather take the FEELING of the break over the feeling of a sprain. Sprains just hurt so SO flippin' much!! And that sprain looks just unreal! I so feel for you..and I hope you have a speedy recovery and are back in the air before you know it!! -------------------------------------------- Elfanie My Skydiving Page Fly Safe - Soft Landings
