Ooooooooh Andrea...I am so sorry...words just can't do enough...

No my friends...this requires action...TheAnvil is new to FL, so I'll need some help with acquiring a few things...

Remember Bill Murray's response to gophers in CADDYSHACK? I say we get some dynamite and give these evil gophers the Bill Murray treatment in retaliation for causing this evil injury...

andrea i think yo should paint your toenails purple to match, of course. :)
A similar thing happened to me at an NSL meet at Sebastian, only they were called *turtle* holes then. It sucked, but got me a free upgrade on my flight home!

Not sure Safety Day could help with this one seeing as how gopher tortoises are protected species in the state of Florida and if you bury their hole (or get caught) there are BIG FINES to be paid. Just so happens those little suckers aren't the only ones tearing up our landing area - we got a family of wild hogs that like to roam and did nice holes.

Hugs mama......like Mel said - at least your toes look all pretty and polished.

Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...

I can bet our family helped to get em to that point.. I can remember when I was little ( hard as that may be for you to believe:P) My grandfather and some of the cousins would go out with big long poles to pull the cooters( thier name for the turtles) out of thier holes for soup. sometimes the pole would extract a rather large eastern diamondback....which became snake steaks. I know exactly what you are talking about though...the mounds... and holes.. Perhaps some small wire kionda markers with Orange flags to mark the little darlins holes might be an idea around the Dropzone.

Still way too many people are hurting themselves right now...I REALLLY hate the incidents forum. It hurts when I see friends in pain and hurting. [:/] The season is just beginning for way too many peope in the east and north. after a long layoff for the winter months.. be careful...look where you are landing.

You know Mama....with both ankles bruised it looks like you took one hell of a PLF. Did yah? Or did they happen seperatly through the whole landing?

It's all the same foot. The right and left in the pictures refer to which side of the foot I was photographing. Sorry for the confusion. I didn't need to PLF. I had a nice little surf going. In hindsight, I probably should have let it surf for a few more seconds before I put my feet down. It really was just the rut in the grass that got me. Had I been on smooth terrain, I would have been fine.

Freeflynate was kind enough to stop jumping and take me to the ER where they took x-rays.

I'm glad I was there to help you out, but I think anybody would have stopped jumping to take you to the ER. It was very nice of Ray and Matt to take you home too. I hope you heal up for the the 4th of july at The Ranch.

You dont need a parachute to skydive, but you will need one to skydive twice.

Oh! Looks painful Andrea! I've heard sprains are generally more painful then if it actually just breaks...I'm guessing that's a matter of opinion adn couldn't say since I've not had either yet.

I hope everything goes well at your appointment Monday!

Pammi
