Like you need more ugly ankle pictures...

Recommended Posts

But, I'm posting them anyway because so many people have asked how I'm doing. :P

Elfanie and Sunshine are definitely worse off than I am because I haven't needed any surgery yet, but here are the pictures of my little sprain. Damn gopher holes. :S I'm hoping to be able to put weight on it by this weekend.

What happened???

I was running out a landing on a no-wind morning when I found a little rut in the grass that caught me. [:/]

Arghhhhhh...that looks bad. :( :( :( (((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))))))))) I'm so sorry, sweetie.

Those pics remind me of when I hurt my ankle a couple of years ago. It was at work. It was just before the building was closed. I was hurrying by my pattern-maker's table and had a 100 lb. roll of manila (for patterns...about 6 ft. tall) fall BAM!!! on my leg just above my ankle. My whole leg went numb! :( I had a limp for months and the whole bottom portion of my leg and foot went black and swelled like crazy. I still have a huge bruised lump/knot there.

Andrea, I hope that you feel better soon...miss ya!

Edited: Meli's right...sexy toe nail polish, Andrea!!! It's quite fetching. :P

Auugh!

I'm so sorry that happened to ya.

Damn Gopher holes is right.

A friend of mine snapped his tibia in a hole visiting Sabastion several months back. Right on the LZ, too. Like 30' from the peas if I remember right.

He's sportin hardware now.

That sucks - make sure you stretch it out once it starts to heal! I am still trying to get full mobility back in my ankle after my sprain (looked like your foot) from a drunken trip on a roap swing over a river.

Gopher holes suck big time! I caught one right in the middle of the main landing area at Rantoul right in front of everyone and twisted my knee. I did a nice face plant and attracted EVERYONES attention.

Have you gone to the Dr for it?

Freeflynate was kind enough to stop jumping and take me to the ER where they took x-rays. I have an appointment with an Ortho on Monday. I mostly want to know what I need to be doing to get back as much mobility in it that I can, so I'm looking forward to the visit.

OUCH!!! That looks painful. YEARS ago (85) when I was in the Army stationed in Germany I SEVERELY sprained my left ankle one morning while running. It was 0-dark-thirty, I was hung over like a big dog from the night before, wasn't paying attention & caught the edge of a 6" deep pothole. Down I went, tripped up the rest of the guys behind me as well, we looked like dominoes!! I swear I could see it swell up before my eyes. Damn that hurt, especially a few days later. I feel your pain!! Look on the bright side....now you have lots of time to PW!! Anyways, hope you heal up soon!! See Ya!! Don

flexability is the key......it may hurt like hell but start moving it......i was started with a straight forward and back movement....granted you may need to use your hands to get the full motion.

then as you get more and more flexable with it start a half moon shape rotation....if you have any clue what im talking about with that description.

Hey Hey hey, that's looking dang good!!! I hope it feels better and you can get back in the air again. Gophers have taken their fare share of broken ankles around here where I jump, but we usually find a creative and amusing way to end their little lives....B|

For what it matters (and it doesn't...) I thought that your post would just have a bunch of pictures of ugly people's ankles.....:P
