Tattoo's

Recommended Posts

I have two.. One for 6 years, the other for 3ish years. I love them both, and will have another done.. I've allready designed it, just need to save 10 jumps worth of cash for it (yeah right !!) The celtic one is special, the tears in the middle are for everyone I had lost at the time (it was a rough time) I need to add 6 more tear drops as of now [:/] and will, to remember everyone I've lost in my life.

Blue ones !

PS 10 points to anyone who can guess where the one with the snakes came from. I borrowed it from a movie (with changes of course)

The artists it the group can correct any details that may be inacurate in the following.
As I understand it Ian. When you get a tat they go in 3 millimeters which lasts for roughly 20 years depending on the workmanship.
You can now get some artists that use one mil needles that means your tat fades dramatically up to 10 years down the track. Problem is it will be more likely to fade unevenly ie it will look totally crap any way you look at it after a few years without touch ups. In which case there isn't much point to it.
.....Anyone?

then you do have a meaning behind it, and that's cool. his doesn't mean anything, according to him. so what's the point of putting something meaningless on your body permanently? i just don't get it.

yea... I can kinda agree w/ ya. BUT... if you want a tatoo... for no specific reason, and find one you like. Isnt that reason enough? To me it is. My fist tat I got cuz I wanted one. It just so hapend that I had a a design from a friend.

my current work is to enlarge the fav of my 3. No real meaning there either... except to continue my love of tats.

Out of curiosity, do you know why they say not to use neosporin? I've heard that from three diff tattoo artists - NO petroleum-based product. So with Merrick's on his back, we did the zinc stuff they recommended until it healed, and now lotion, which I agree that I think that's more about keeping your skin healthy which in turn keeps the tat looking nice.

I'm wondering because his isn't done yet, so the next time he goes, I thought I'd ask more specific questions to the artist about it.

Simple, petroleum base products leech the color out of the tat.

It really depends on the individual's body. I suggest going to a drug store and getting A&D ointment. That is what I use when I don't have neosporin. It is in a sense the same thing.
