Naturalistic evolution (religion)

Ok here I am sitting here wondering what religion I am and came across this. Tell me if I am right on, and if any of you feel the same way. I do not believe in god or any other supreme being, I am a person of science, that only believes what can be proven and put on paper. I believe in the big bang theory and all that where a bacteria created life bla.. bla.. evolution... you know how it goes. Would a person such as myself be classified as a Naturalistic evolutionist? Anyone out there that has the same thought process? Is there a church for this, I really don't know what there would be to talk about.

Kinda sounds like Scientology:

Scientology applied religious philosophy. It is the study and handling of the spirit in relationship to itself, universes and other life. I think spirit has a whole hell of a lot to do with it. but I like my life to be noice and scientific, on paper and proven. like my dad says "Sjow Me the MONEY." me: but dad!" dad: "Show ME THE MONEY." kinda puts all that god shit to rest real quick.

How ironic! The line "Show ME THE MONEY" from a movie by Tom Cruise. One of Hollywood's most famous practicers of Scientology.

Not that I'm promoting this belief or anything. Haven't even read the book (Dianetics).

Theistic evolution: The universe is about 14 billion years old. The earth's crust developed about 4.5 billion years ago. God created the first cell, and then used evolution as a tool to guide the development of each new species. The process culminated in human beings. That is more like Scientology I don't like that

Naturalistic evolution: Beliefs are identical to that of theistic evolution, except that God is assumed to have played no part in the processes. Scientists assume evolution was driven by blind, purely natural forces. This is more like me. This is the belief, but what is the religion called? I'd say that this sounds more like Atheism, but you mentioned that God did not play a part in the process - and proceeded to use a capital G. Does God play any part of anything for you? If not, Atheist. If so, then what is God's part?

Atheism is confined to one factor: the existence or non-existence of a deity.

Atheism can be the positive belief that there is no deity.
Atheism can be the absence of a belief that there is a deity.
I believe ther is no god.

Actually, as far back as Thomas Aquinas, science was cultivated by the church. Even Gregor Mendel, the father of genetics, was a monk.

These tried to figure out how God did what he did. Indeed, there are many who find miracles explained in the timing. Most can be easily explained by science.

I think that religion and naturalism are linked, especially in the pagan religions.
