cornishrich 0 #1 April 5, 2004 Is it possible to get medical insurance cover when jumping outside the UK. Most extreme sports insurers that I have seen cover you for only a limited number of jumps every year. As I am from the UK am I covered elsewhere in the EU under an E111?? What if I jump in the US or Australia? Any help would be appreciated. RJP
jjiimmyyt 0 #2 April 5, 2004 You should be OK with e1-11 () in Euroland. When I've jumped in the US I've taken out Endsleigh Activity Insurance, doesn't limit jump numbers and acts as general travel insurance as well. I think was ~ £50 for 30 days worldwide. Their site is http://www.endsleigh.co.uk/ And no, I don't work for them. "This isn't an iron lung, people. gus 1 #3 April 5, 2004 The E1-11 is good but remember that the reciprocal agreement we have with the other participating countries only covers their public healthcare facilities. What if you're in critical condition (not all that unlikely given what we do) and the closest/best hospital is private? In the past I've taken out Axa single trip insurance when going to Spain but at the moment I have an annual multitrip policy with Marks and Spencer.
