mailin 0 #5 April 8, 2004 oh ok.... Got through, but due to the firewall i can only get through on the IP address. Just to let you know other people behind firewalls may have the same issue. Thanks for the help, JenArianna Frances
mcrocker 0 #6 April 8, 2004 Quotewhew...just you. don't scare me like that. Not working at all for ya? Dave Up and running for all I can see. Pushing about 5Mbps at the moment. Here are some pretty bandwidth usage graphs taken from the switch port looking at the server. Green is inbound, server to me to Internet.

Thanks for the help, Jen Hrm, that shouldn't be working. Try sdm.crocker.com see if that gets through the firewall. Technically www.skydivingmovies.com is a name based virtual server on sdm.crocker.com. The IP may work now but it will probably break when/if I throw another site on that server. Jennifer ;; ANSWER SECTION: www.skydivingmovies.com. 86400 IN CNAME sdm.crocker.com. sdm.crocker.com. 600 IN A 204.97.12.49 Yep www.skydivingmovies.com -> sdm.crocker.com -> 204.97.12.49. sdm.crocker.com is the actual machine name and the website is running as a virtual server on it. It is working fine on the IP because I don't have any other websites defined on the machine. I don't plan on putting new website on it anytime soon so it isn't a real issue. If you see a different site on that IP sometime in the future you'll know why... Yell at your IT department to open up the firewall, tell them you need your daily dosage.
