Deuce 1 #1 April 8, 2004 Skygods, or godesses. How it must suck to have already done everything, and done it perfectly. It must be just awful to know that there's no point in teaching because no one will every be anywhere near as good as they are. When they see that beautiful, beaming, radiant smile on a skydiver's face when they've done something for the first time, it must just suck to have to remind that smiling person that you've done whatever they did on rounds, and they actually did it wrong anyway. What a dry, cold, miserable existence it must be to look down on everyone, from all directions, in derision and condescension. To be so important that you cannot be bothered to even talk with the amateurs. Sad, really. Lighten up, Francis.
Michele 1 #2 April 8, 2004 I hope that, no matter how good I get at anything, ever, that I won't forget what it's like to turn your first point; what it's like to take your first listing; what it's like to need love and support, to reach for a friend for a shoulder to cry on, to reach for that same friend to celebrate a victory, or an accomplishment. It must indeed be a dreary existence, to live like that. My sympathy goes to those who've lost the vicarious thrill of seeing someone else accomplish something, no matter how small or insignificant...because it is never small nor insignificant. freeflygoddess 0 #4 April 8, 2004 No kiding! I hope I never end up like that either. I still have so much to learn and really I think everyone does. It doesn't matter how many jumps you have there is always something else to try, even if you have to make it up yourself. I think that if someone can firgure out how to help big fat pregnant women fly on thier heads and land softly and safely and also keep the fatigue and morning sickness away then they might know everything.....If so PM me ASAP, cause this long wait for me is killing me and it has only been since Monday since I jumped last....and now that I know I wont be in the air until atleast Ocotber, possiablly November it's killing me and scareing me to death, since I have been use to jumping every weekend. eeneR 3 #5 April 8, 2004 I dont want to know everything....cause then there is nothing left to learn...and well then life would be boring..... Having the ability to learn and grow on a daily basis is a wonderful thing...Taking each day, living and learning = personal growth...when that stops...you just start to wither away...be it emotionally or physically..... I pity those who think they know it all...that means that they are no longer living life...and are just sitting idle...... Everything around us grows and changes...if we are not willing to learn and adjust with it the world around us will change...and we will be stuck in the same spot.... Edited to add : This is for not just the skygods of skydiving...but those who feel that there way is the only way on anything, be it skydiving, flying planes, dealing with life issues, cooking ....what ever....there is always more then one way to do things, and what works for one, may not work best for the nextShe is not a "Dumb Blonde" - She is a "Light-Haired Detour Off The Information Superhighway." eeneR TF#72, FB#4130, Incauto

The more you learn, the more you realize you do not know. I am a living example of self-awareness of own incompetence. Sometimes I forget that, as peacefuljeffrey pointed out once (thanks, man).
