Lines on a Spectra 170

About to have a reline done, looking for a smaller pack volume. I have microline 550 on it now. which packes the smallest? HMA, Vectran, Microline, Dacron.

To what end?

Are you trying to wedge this canopy in a container that is much too small for it? Do you ever want to do some casual sport CRW? You can get super-small HMA like the swoopers, but then you give up other things like line life. There is always a give and a take, there is no such thing as a free lunch.

I have a Infinity I-44 container it will hold a 150-170, the 170 fits very tight in the tray. just looking for something to make it pack smaller. I do a little CRW every now and then, but mostly wingsuit and ff.

You have 550 Spectra on a Spectre. I would stick with that. It's as small as you'll get from PD without other associated problems.

I have a Tri160 and I've ordered Dacron lines for that. The change was not noticeable. I'd rather have more durable/more elastic lines.

If you do CREW with your canopy don't go for small lines since they can literally induce cut on yours arms and legs in case of a wrap. CREW people generally prefer Polyester (Dacron) lines which are thicker to grab on.

Learn from others mistakes, you will never live long enough to make them all.
