themitchyone 0 #1 April 12, 2004 I sold my first item on e-bay! I have spent so much money skydiving (including student loan money), and I have resorted to selling stuff on e-bay. I listed a bunch of beenie babies and records, but what sold was a pair of Mudd jeans, the kind that are way too low, and I figure now that I'm 33 I need to let those go. I had just signed up for e-bay a week ago and wonder if this is just beginners luck. Has anyone else had any success selling on e-bay? Unstable 9 #2 April 12, 2004 Oh yeah, I sold my old Harness and Canopy on ebay. I bought my new rig, and with a riggers inspection, I had the money from selling my old stuff in less than two weeks!! Just be honest, and make sure to leave positive feedback!!=========Shaun ==========
Stacy 0 #3 April 12, 2004 I've sold some stuff on there as well. Old musical instruments, etc etc. I've made anice chunk of change on there that funded a tunnel trip or two and helped out when i was in a pinch. Stuff I know won't sell on there I just take to salvation army or good will and take the tax write off. __

I've donated stuff to Salvation A and I've never thought to get a receipt... How would they even know how much to give you a receipt for if you asked? My Karma ran over my Dogma!!! Stacy 0 #5 April 12, 2004 I drop it off, walk over to the desk and they give me a receipt. They tell me what an acceptable (ie no questions asked for taxes) value is, and it's signed, dated, stamped. I dunno, that's how they do it here.
meltdown 0 #6 April 12, 2004 I've donated stuff a bunch of times, and they usually just give you a standard form, and let you fill out the value. I always make a list of the stuff on the back just in case I get audited.
AggieDave 6 #7 April 12, 2004 I've been thinking about using my old VW engine to raise money for the parts I need to build a new engine for my VW. Stuff like turning the crank into a lamp and selling it on E-bay. Basically, making stuff out of the engine parts that won't be used again to sell on e-bay.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." On the next round of my junk selling I'm going to start the bidding lower. Maybe you should try that. Try setting starting the auction at .99 and set the reserve at the BARE min you are willing to take. I mean the absolute least amount you would take not what you would like. ( you can go in and revise the auction you don't have to wait tell it ends and try over) You might not get 200 for it. I would also Change your Itgem Title to something like this "Lap Top-Compaq Presario-Windows 2000" That will bring your listing up in more searches then how it is listed now.
