A good kiss starts with a good conversation, when both people are feeling connected, and probably thinking about it anyway. Make sure you're both comfortable and relaxed, in a pleasant place with a reasonable amount of privacy. It's not a good idea to be completely lit up for your first kiss, because it leaves both people wondering afterwards if it was a good idea. If you aren't certain about how she'll react, don't just go straight in for the kiss. Start by holding her hand. Offer her a backrub. Play with her hair a little bit. You'll get the signals that will tell you if it's OK to kiss her. Also, don't try to stick your tongue down her throat right away. Start with just the lips, softly, and then back up for a moment.
