cvfd1399 0 #1 April 16, 2004 I wonder if anyone does this. I mean it is not like you have a trunk to put it in, you have to wear it.

I don't have pictures of this, but my friend does this all the time. Just stick the pilot chute in all the way, to make sure it doesn't come out. I think it was nuts, but it seemed to work for him. I used to ride my motorcycle to the DZ too, but I would put my rig in a gear bag though.. Iwan
EDYDO 0 #5 April 16, 2004 It's kind of like getting a ride back to the DZ in the back of a farmers truck who just doesn't understand that if that canopy catches wind, it's gonna hurt!!! Ed

skybytch 273 #7 April 17, 2004 QuoteI don't have pictures of this, but my friend does this all the time. I don't have pictures, but I wore my rig numerous times while riding my motorcycle to the dz. I tucked the p/c all the way into the pouch, put a brightly colored pull up cord through the closing loop (alongside the pin) and tied it in a bow with a bit sticking out of the main flap, and I tied another brightly colored pull up cord around the main lift web at the reserve ripcord. Then I put it on - leg straps on, chest strap fastened. No problems.
Luv2Fall 0 #8 April 17, 2004 Well, here's the bike.......no rig. I'm leaving my rig with the student rigs this weekend......just ride with my other stuff in a back pack.
cvfd1399 0 #9 April 17, 2004 I need to get a bike, with the DZ being 2.5 hours away, it would save alot on gas. The only thing is if the rain sneeks up on you, or if you get hurt where you could drive home, but too hurt to ride somehow.

Dumpster 0 #11 April 17, 2004 I've done it a few times, too, but no mo. Something weird happens and your reserve opens, you're gonna get broken. So now if I'm taking the bike to the DZ I stick it in the T-Bag and strap it to the sissybar. Easy Does It

Shawndiver 0 #13 April 17, 2004 Yep, me too. Use a gear bag, both your medical plan and the guy behind you will thank you!_________________
