Ok, i decided to cut my cast off earlier today. Yeah, it was a stupid thing to do cause now my ankle hurts even worse and i can't walk anymore. What am i gonna tell the doctor when i go in for my next appt. on Friday?

The way I see, is it is HIGHLY unlikely you are the first patient of his that has cut off their cast early. He knows the reason: CASTS SUCK. So, since the missing cast isn't going to faze him, DEFINITELY go for the sex one.

Friend of mine did just that.. He only had 4 more weeks to go but got fed up with the cast.. He tripped badly the day after and went in to hospital again and did not only get a cast but also rods scrweded in his bone to keep it in place... It took him another 8 weeks before he could get rid of it

Its your leg. If you want to jeapardize your recovery and possibly void your insurance coverage, why should the doctor care? You're an adult and should know better.

Sorry if that sounds harsh, I've been there and casts suck, but if it was seriously bothering you, a smarter way to handle it would have been to call your doc and move up your appointment to have him take it off and possibly replace it. You already told us he wasn't happy with your last Xray!

Hope it gets better. If you won't go to the ER, get your ass on the couch with an ice pack and DO NOT WALK on it!

I voted for the sex option just so the Doc will get a laugh....or be really nervous....either is funny. Was the bone filled back in? My foot only took 5 weeks to be pretty much solid again. I went in on a visit and told them that I could cut off or they could. They cut it off and gave me an air cast. It was worthless for another two weeks or so until I got the strength back in the ankle. How long was the cast on?

Well doh!! Your probably going back in a cast anyways. The doc will bill for removal and replacement even when he doesn't have to remove it now.
