peacefuljeffrey 0 #2 April 19, 2004 Quotewell, it's been a year since holly left us...... raise a glass tonight and "rock out with your cock out"......... I don't know who Holly was. Please tell us something about her, okay? I'm sure that if she meant enough to you to make you mention this anniversary, there's some story you could tell that might make those who knew her and those who did not smile in remembrance. Thanks. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!"

VanillaSkyGirl 6 #5 April 19, 2004 Quotewell, it's been a year since holly left us...... raise a glass tonight and "rock out with your cock out"......... Wow, I first began to occasionally lurk this forum as a student about a year ago. I remember what a beautiful person that I thought Holly to be. When I read that she died, I was shocked and greatly saddened. I even cried at the loss of such a beautiful soul, and I had never met her, PMed her or even posted, yet. After reading how obviously moved everyone in this online community was by Holly's death, I began to frequent this site more and more. The bond of the skydivers online was such a beautiful thing to witness. (Shortly after Holly's death, I registered [April 24th], and my first post was May 2nd.) Holly was someone whom I wish that I had the chance to have met, but in a way, I feel like I knew who she was from her online personality. Even though I never knew Holly, I was truly touched by her shining soul as shown in her posts. Fly free, Holly...forever, you lovely angel.

BoostedXT 0 #8 April 19, 2004 Just recently I was watching a video made by a local jumper and at the end of the video there is a tribute to Holly. I never knew her or even read one of her posts, but I have gone through all the photos in her remember section. There is one thing I noticed about every photo there....she is smiling, and so is everyone else with her. Very rarely in todays world do we meet people, or come across people with such an amazing trait. People who met her are lucky people, people who didnt missed out on meeting someone special. I didnt get that chance to meet her, and I wish I did. Blue Skies, and see ya when we get there. JoeFor long as you live and high you fly and smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry and all that you touch and all that you see is all your life will ever be. Pedro Offers you his Protection. Cornholio 0 #10 April 19, 2004 I thought about this day a couple days ago, but would have probably missed it if you didn't remind me. I still have a picture of her, me and Ben in Eloy as my desktop wallpaper at work. I see it every day and think of her and the one and only jump we had together, but the many memories we shared. I miss you Holly. BTW - the link to Holly's memorial video on the link posted above is not working. Cajones and I were trying to get a bigger video hosted someplace, and I was able to load it on my servers. It's a big download at 140MB, but it's worth every megabyte. http://almgren.net/upload/holly1.mov or http://www.jaffie.com/matt/sky/holly1.mov Butthead: Whoa! Burritos for breakfast! Beavis: Yeah! KawiZX900 0 #11 April 19, 2004 I've been cloudwatching the last two days and it's almost enough for me to know that there is a heaven and that Holly's in it smiling down. I'm not sure when I'm going to break down today but it's coming. I met a woman two days ago that runs a production company and she has a similar presence of the divine that Holly had and it seemed like a wonderfull opportunity for me to have a place to crash out and work out of for a couple weeks and Holly's way of saying "see homie, it'll all work out" but it seemed like such a cheap shot that I threw this woman the worst vibe ever and she essentially chased me out of her house. All I want to do is go down to the beach and scream at the stars and yell to her that I miss her, that I'm angry with her for checkin out and just yell and scream till i drop. She was the only person I ever knew in my life that I could talk to for hours on end about inane bullshit and have all the fun in the world doing it. Holly I miss you so much!!!!! seldom shine a brighter soul. Love ya. Accelerate hard to get them looking, then slam on the fronts and rollright beside the car, hanging the back wheel at eye level for a few seconds. sunshine 2 #13 April 19, 2004 I remember the day a year ago all too well. When you called to tell me the news, i was in such shock. Holly was such an awesome friend. We had some fun times hanging out in eloy and talked on the phone a lot. I could talk to her about anything. I know she's up there with a big smile on her face and teaching everyone to "party like a rockstar." Miss you girl, love you always... ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!

bbarnhouse 0 #16 April 19, 2004 A year later...the memory of Hol no longer brings tears to my eyes. Now, the thoughts conjour a smile, remembering her as she would want. Tonight, I will lift a glass in her honor as will many of her friends here. We will celebrate the lessons learned and the gifts given. Our hearts will fill with joy and we will embrace each other with "full on hugs"......thats just the way she would want it. edited to say: today a tree was planted on the dz in remembrance of Hol. Next spring it will bloom vibrant purple flowers....her favorite color.
