i nuke mine in the microwave then keep the plastic dvd cases they come in(great for giving people vcd's and dvd's)i just remove the paper inserts

i use em for target practice.... and the litle tins they were coming in a while ago were way cool... lots of uses for em...... to bad they couldn't stop doing so much advertising and just cut the price of the service..... not thati would use it or anything but heck.... i get like atleast 2 cd's a month n the mail and such....

I've also been known to try pyrotechnic compositions on them. Flash powder looks real pretty, but is a bit fast, so a nice BP mix melts them up lovely

just got on in the mail (again) put it on one of my grinders and took a peice of sand paper to it has a nice "texture" to it now
