IMHO this is not really a question anyone should have to ask...

it only matters how you like your tattoo, not anyone else or what they think of it

if you're not sure and wouldn't have gotten it anyway, if everyone else (except your tattoo artist) dissapeared of the earth tomorrow, you probably shouldn't be getting it :P

soon to be gone

;)Hey Fast1, I think you should go with #3. I think it would look great on a upper arm. I have a tat on my right lower leg, it is actually a photo of me under canopy on a sunset jump. I've had alot of people tell me it looks like the Elsinore logo, but I know who it is & what it means to me! It was my first jump back after a bad injury, "Learning to Fly Again".. Let us know which one you decide on!

Only if you were or are part of the "Folgore" coz that's the beret emblem (#1) minus the yin yen closing pins.

I was been in Folgore.. I was in 9° Assault parachutist Col Moschin, 101° cp. rafos ;)

Dont Scar your Body up any more dude.

When you get older like me you have
to either Spend Tons of $$$$ geting it removed
or it just starts to look like shit with Age.

I wish I never got mine but I have grown
some since then. Dont need that crap on you
think about it.
The glass is half full or half empty doesn't matter. Let go and have the Lord guide your path. He will take care of it all.

They're all nice designs...

But wait til you make your 500th jump, and get it to mark an occasion like that...

I'm not sure about skydivers, but I've seen so many martial artists get karate tattoos, and then quit the art a year or so later... then they're shelling out big bucks for removal.

Wait til the novelty wears off, and see if you still want it a ways down the road. Ink is a serious thing, so take your time. There's no reason to rush.

I def agree with getting more jumps.

In my family tatoos is a big no-no. I thought about getting one, just a simple pic of a pin. Thats all, somewhere where it isnt noticed.

But Ima wait til my 1000 until I do it.:D

I absolutely agree here.

Whenever someone asks me about a tattoo (I have a few) I tell them this;

Once you have decided on a design and where you want it, wait for one year. If after a year you still want that tattoo in that place then do so. Tattoos are funny things. If you get a design spur of the moment in a conspicous or cheesy spot, chances are in a few years you won't like it and will either be shelling out big bucks to cover it up or bigger bucks removing it.

Secondly research your artist. Check out their work and find out how their work holds up over time. Especially if you do bright colors. Nothing worse than a great design fucked up by an average tattooist. This is a bigger deal than buying a car or even a home. This is PERMANENT. Even the best removal and cover-ups can leave traces behind.

A year gives you tons of time to talk about the design, allow it to evolve with artistic input and find an artist you are happy with. And you do get what you pay for.

I know this from experience. I have three I got that way and two are now covered abd the third soon will be. The cover up designs however were ones I thought about and talked about for almost two years. Today I still love my dragon (He's been with me for almost five years now) though he needs some touching up since I let him get too much sun. But I will never be unhappy with him because I was patient and made absolutely sure I wanted it done and who I wanted it done by.
