One or two pin

Recommended Posts

I sent it in to be altered, which is why I can't inspect it now, and pretty sure It's one pin, but I will be inspecting it When i get it back. Just never saw one yet with two pins and don't know why two would be needed. I've been jumping for two seconds, so I know practically nothing. Thanks for your response! Anything is a help

When you get your rig back, take it to your rigger and throw yourself on his or her mercy saying: "I know nothing about this gear, how much will you charge me to give me a very detailed orientation to my gear?". The odds are good that the cost will be nothing... If you are also asking for him or her to do a bunch of other paid work like assembling your rig, and packing your reserve.

Of course, it would have been better if you had bought the Cypres through your rigger, as then he or she would have gotten you the correct Cypres and had even more reason to teach you about it.

Knowing you gear is important! Yesterday a jumper asked me for a pre-boarding gear check and the problem I found could have made it impossible for him to find or pull his reserve handle! As we discussed the problem, I discovered that he didn't know enough about how his rig was built to prevent or properly correct the problem. Knowing your gear is NOT optional!!!
The choices we make have consequences, for us & for others!

It used to be that the gear was so ratty/trashy looking that you really wanted to know how it worked so that you could spot a real problem that was easily hiding along with the gear just in general looking trashed.

Now the gear looks so great, clean, modern, that it inspires confidence even if you don't know anything about it.
People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am

Hi Angle,
Your last sentence says it ALL! Seems like the most info even advanced students have about their gear is,"Pull this handle to make it work and pull the other ond if it doesn't work!!" 'Daze gone by we had "Russ Gunbys' Book!!" In todays' Skydiving World, there are enough Books, Videos and Courses on Techniques "and" Equipment to educate anybody on the Sport. "But" it's up to the individual jumper to take the advantage.

Do you have a:

Javelin?

Infinity?

Mirage?

Talon?

Voodoo?

Wings?

... and a couple others.

what do you have? The model name is probably one of the above.

You probably sent it to the factory that built it, who did you send it to?

Nice Try ;)

I could have been slightly more clear but I did mean model.

How's this?

Manufacturer/Model :P

Sunpath/Javelin

Velocity Sports Equipment/Infinity

Mirage Systems, Inc. /Mirage

Rigging Innovations /Talon

Rigging innovations /VooDoo

Sunrise Rigging /Wings

Oh and

Vector by either Relative Workshop or UPT.
