jceman 1 #1 April 23, 2004 We just got off the phone with our youngest son; we called to wish him a happy birthday (actually it was yesterday, but they were out when we called then). Among the usual family news and discussions, he let us know that the mother of one of his good friends from high school finally succumbed to her fight with cancer just about 4 hours ago. She was always good to Chad and was a good friend to us as well; she served as our agent when we sold our house in AL and got the best prce we could have hoped for. There's another hole in my heart tonight -- will someone who takes part in JFTC please volunteer to wear the name "Patsy Carr" in her place of honor? Please? skybytch 273 #2 April 23, 2004 If I'm on the dives I'd be proud to have Patsy join me. Course right now I'm kinda doubting I'll be jumping by then, but anyway...
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #3 April 23, 2004 Oh Lisa, you're so wonderful. That puts a lump in my throat. Jceman, my condolences to your family and your son's friend's family. How very, very sad. May she finally rest in peace.
flyangel2 2 #4 April 23, 2004 Can you get a picture of her to either Jen, Michele, or myself. We are working on an idea for the calendar cover. We are looking just for head shots. Ya know, when ever I read that one of my sisters has lost the battle, it brings tears to my eyes. I hug my boys and thank god that I'm still able to fight my battle. I too would be honored to take her on the dives with me.May your trails be crooked, winding, lonesome, dangerous, leading to the most amazing view. May your mountains rise into and above the clouds. - Edward Abbey

She beat me to it, Jack. If I were capable of jumping, I'd take her with me. But she'll be with an angel, as she will be flying with Mar or Lis. Both of these ladies are angels on earth. Jack, I am so sorry to hear this. So very sorry. All the more reason (as if we needed one...) to work hard to find a cure, and to raise awareness. Hugs are sent, Jack, and a prayer's been sent.
