BoostedXT 0 #1 April 25, 2004 Ok this is a question for people who ride motorcycles, or ever have. Hell, anyone can answer...You are sitting in a restaurant and look out the window at your bike. You see a group of 3 guys going towards it. One of the guys sits on it and his friends start to chuckle. You get up and walk out of the restaurant and as you are going towards them. You continue to walk to them.......what would you have done? This happened to me not long ago when I had my GSXR750...just curious what you guys would have done. I will reply with my actions once I hear the thoughts of you all. WFFC 1 #3 April 25, 2004 Happened one time...Sitting in the restaurant with another biker. The group on our bikes slightly outnumbered us so, we reached into our pocket and pulled out the technology (a.ka. cell phone) and call the boys in blue and reported that several 'thugs' were attempting to steal our bikes. About 120 seconds later, 4 cars, guns and all the hoopla, said thugs were on the ground, handcuffed and all. BoostedXT 0 #5 April 25, 2004 Ok so basically I walked towards them and told the guy to get off my bike. He just looked at me, so I asked which was his car so I could go sit in it. I asked him again to get off the bike or else I would call the cops and have him arrested. He told me chill out and I told him no, him sitting on my bike was a complete lack of respect, and he has no right to be on it. He got all pissy and got off the bike. I then took the bike andparked it on the sidewalk right next to the window at our booth. I was completely pissed.....I wish I smacked him with my helmet. If someone was sitting in his car he would have beat them up or called the cops. Why do people think because a bike doesnt have doors its fair game? The bike was knocked over by a drunk guy one night.......dented tank. If he was cooperative he wouldnt have spent the night in jail...Cops involved, he was arrested for public intoxication. riddler 0 #8 April 25, 2004 People that don't ride are sometimes weird about bikes. This leads bikers to be weird right back, and gives them a reputation. I haven't ridden in a few years, but considering some of the strange situations I've been in, when I start riding again, I think I'll carry one of these. Now comes the period of trying to save up enough money for that sweet F4 i've been lookin at in magazines for years. As an unpaid intern that could take a while though... woa....that was cool.... People tend to respond to that in "tense" situations, not always, but a lot do. Thus, quickly approach the bike "Hey motherfucker, you're not stealing my bike! I've already called 911, be prepaired to go to jail!" Even if you didn't call 911, its a nice fear factor that will mind fuck a lot of people. If they continue to be a problem, actually call 911 and kick their ass in the mean time, you're preventing your bike from being "stolen", right?--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." I have cought people going through my Jeep before-this was before I had a cell phone-and I just kept walking and watch'd if they actually took anything. I do not keep anything in it so nothing to take.........It is not worth the hassle of going to jail for fighting or killing the person over a beach towel or cap or something. All the money I have in the Jeep would still be less than my legal expense to get out of it But, 10 years ago I would have skull fuck'd that person and hog tie them to the hood for a few days in the hot sun! Then looked at the other two and asked which one wanted to accompany their friend on the ambulance and which one wanted to apologize for touching my bike? Or I maight have gone to their car and sat on the hood with my leather and snaps and wallet chain and seen their reaction when I slid off it, taking a layer of paint with me. Or I would ask them for their names and addresses and told them "because I want to go mount your girls without your permission like you mounted my bike." when they asked why. But then, I come from a family or bikers and grew up around biker clubs, so I may not be the BEST person to ask when it comes to people messing with another man's bike. Actually had a few kids in the neighborhood got caught sitting on my bike by the the neighbor last year. The police came and said that there is no law saying you cannot sit on someone's motorcycle without their permission. Unless they A.) Had to remove a bike cover to get on it or break into a trailer or garage. B.) Moved it . . . even an inch C.) Caused any sort of damage. D.) Did not get off it once you told them to get off it. I had to deal with the problem myself, which required no small amount of deception and creativity to make sure it never happened again. But it worked.
