TomAiello 26 #1 April 26, 2004 Hey, Can anyone tell me how to control the length of the line generated by the tag? I see that several people have sig line separators that only go partway across, or are aligned differently. Any help? AggieDave, where are you? I know you've got to have this one covered.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

TomAiello 26 #3 April 26, 2004 Using exactly that puncutation (i.e. with the spaces as you have them)? I've been monkeying with it a bit and can't get it to work. Also, does the width go inside the brackets, or in a separate set (I'm assuming inside the same brackets). Thanks!-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
AndyMan 7 #4 April 26, 2004 or In the second case, the number represents number of pixels. Additionally, you can control the hight of the line with "size" and also you adjust the style of the line with "noshade". _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead. TomAiello 26 #5 April 26, 2004 Thanks Andyman. I'm still not getting it. Can you just have a look at the sig that I've got now and see if you can tell what I'm doing wrong? ladyskydiver 0 #6 April 26, 2004 Only space goes between hr and width - . I've attached an example (very basic). However, in the forums, it does not appear that setting the width works.Life is short! AndyMan 7 #7 April 26, 2004 I think that maybe it just won't work on the forums. I thought you were asking for HTML, but the stuff the forums let you use is a pretty reduced set. _Am__ You put the fun in "funnel" - craichead.
TomAiello 26 #8 April 26, 2004 Ah, well. Thanks anyway. Still, have a look at SkyMama's sig (example in this thread). There's got to be some way to achieve that... Perhaps she's just using text? Boy, I feel silly. -- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com

wzettler 0 #11 April 26, 2004 Yeah, I think she is just using the underscore... I think when Jesus said "love your enemy" he probably meant don't kill them.
TomAiello 26 #12 April 26, 2004 Thanks everyone! Using another text line for what I had in mind made the sig too long. I guess I'm sticking with the standard for now. Sorry for the trouble.-- Tom Aiello Tom@SnakeRiverBASE.com SnakeRiverBASE.com
AggieDave 6 #13 April 26, 2004 The HR is where its at for sig lines , talk to your buddy HH about it, maybe it'll get added so you don't take up your text space by having to use it.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
