napaguy99 0 #1 April 26, 2004 Well, after being in Florida now for about 2 months, I finally got to start flying today!! I got about 40 minutes in the Cessna 172 at Destin Airport. We just went over how to pre-flight and then we went up and did a few turns, climbs, descents, and then landing. I got to do the takeoff on my own and I handled a fair part of the landing with some help. Next flight is scheduled for Thursday with the possibility of flying sometime before then. The funny thing is, throughout the entire flight the thought of jumping out of the plane never crossed my mind. Watch out, in about 20 more years I just may be your diver driver!
