Shouldn't you have your old ID with you? I'm sure it's on the computer though. They have your old picture on there too. That's how people can get their driver's licenses through the mail and such. The information has got to be somewhere.

Depends on the state here. In PA you have to have either your old id, or you social security card plus any two of:

1. Certificate of Birth
2. Tax Records
3. Selective Service Card
4. Valid U.S. or Foreign Passport with raised seal
5. Baptismal Certificate
6. Banking Records

to get a new driver's license, do they show a pic of your old ID on the computer? so that the lady can see the old id or what? just wondered.

I see 2 reasons for asking this

1) want to use same picture as last one cause you liked it

2) Want to let a friend use your identidy to get a fake id.

I would put my money in the second basket. Either way yes most states with plastic card IDs have your old picture available when you get a new ID.

I just renewed mine last week. I had to go to the D.M.V. at the county courthouse. I could have renewed by mail but, I have to had an eye exam. So I just went to the office and read off the eye chart. I also changed my photo, I still had the same one I did when I was in High School.
