Any coin collectors?

Recommended Posts

I decided that I need a hobby. I put a lot of thought into this and decided coin collecting would be it.

Anyone seriously collect coins here? If so I would love advice. Yeah, I know I never ask for advice, but there it is. I am going out and buying some books on it and some price guides (the blue and redbook I read were the good ones).

Any experienced advice would be welcomed.

PS - Why is it the 24th Fosters tastes so much better than the first few?

When I was a kid, I started with a penny album and used to have a penny from every year and series from 1920 to the 1970s.

Those types of albums are a relatively easy way to start, and it doesn't require a serious investment.

Now, I pretty much keep any bi-centennial quarter or any state quarter I don't have. But that's about it. :S:D
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!
