Nice work Laney.

Well, the links to the real plan don't work for me, but if it's anything like the spongebobs, it's going to funnel bigtime when you release grips on the centre two with hanger. You need more grip integrity on the back pieces because they are essentially phalanxes. They tend to collapse aound the centre grip normally, so they are even more likely to do so with a hanger and a diver on them. You need a subgrip on the rear pieces.

But what do I know. I'm just an old RW dinosaur with cool pink shorts.

Anyway, where's my landing picture ?

Garreth,
Amazingly, the two way's with upper arm grips and legstrap hangers do fly although they tend to backslide unless the belly fliers are aware of that problem and drive hard to counter.. We have attempted it twice without stingers and the first time, one of the hangers missed the key and we ended up with 2/3 of it together and the other 1/3 flying about 30' above and to the right. The second time, the same hanger went low so those two belly fliers let go and again we built the 2/3 formation. The weak link here is the leg grips by the outside 2-ways on the center 2-way but with good communication, this will work.

Which one of those hanging SpongeBob's am I?

I imagine Chopster is the guy in the middle so he can try for another L&B ad.

Unfortunately, the rest of the jumpers are only famous on DZ.com.

You got it.. you are one of the outside hanging SpongeBobs.. the one with the bad allergies.. My jump, I get the center hanger slot.. ;):P

We're going to turn points? It'll work, but the RW pair being held by legstraps has to drive with their legs full-blast or it will backslide and funnel.

We turned points on the attached picture, but I don't have a handy picture ready where everybody is apart.

Oh my:o That picture of you by the plane is a real keeper. Just makes it that much easier to stalk you when I have pictures like that of you.

The one of Gareth is very nice too. But I know Julie, and how she would kick my ass if I stalked Gareth.

Nice shot, JP!

Yep.. First point is to complete it with the hangers hanging and the stinger on each end on the feet.. 2nd point is to break it into 3 peices and spin the center 180. The other two head down people are just posers.. and don't dock unless they want to dock on a foot on the center piece after the second point.. if, of course, we get that far.. :S

Ok, now I see it. It is different than the spongebobs.

The two ways at the sides do have a sub grip, but with the hangers on leg straps, it's going to be very hard for them to get their legs out to balance the weight and pull of the hanger and stinger. That's becuase the hanger will be pulling the inbound hips on each person down, which causes a turn that only gets worse when you try to extend the legs. I'd move the hanger to chest straps if that is possible, because it will centre the weight in the same way as the piece that it has to retain proximity on. If that can't be done, just try to get them as close to the centreline of the piece as possible. With the upside down stinger going for a foot grip on one side there, you're going to need to get as much mass to the centre of that piece as possible.

Should be fun though. I'll watch it.

Definitely the further forward the hanger's grips are the easier it will be for the belly fliers.. I am curious as to whether the stingers will be able to maintain their positions during the transition time as well seeing that the belly fliers will be driving so hard with their legs. Regardless, I am just really hoping to build that first point and get the shot. The second point would be an awesome bonus..

Have you guys had any success with the hangers using laterals for grips instead of leg straps?? I have found that they work great and is more of a center pull.:)

ohhh.. hmmm.. that's a thought.. works well, huh? for turning points? doesn't it put too much weight to the side of each belly flier?

Hmmmm, [:/]we haven't turned any points like that, but i can see your point. I didn't really think about it like that. :D Like you and deuce both said, you have done it before and it worked so have fun.
