freefallfreak 0 #28 May 6, 2004 Sometimes people do things just cause they want to. I have a friend that is a bit older - 89, I think - and she needed her lawn mowed. I happen to have a nice riding mower so I went over and cut it for her without asking. She was thrilled that someone wanted to help her just cause he wanted to help her. Then a neighbor of her's came over as I was riding around the back yard on my little mower and asked if I would cut her's. I told the neighbor (who was about 30 years old) that I didn't really have time to do her whole yard but I'd do the front. It didn't take as long as I thought so I did the whole thing - front and back - and she insisted that I accept money for it. I tried not to take it but she totally insisted, so three weeks later when I went to do "gramm's" yard again in the middle of the week, I did her neighbor's, too, while the neighbor wasn't home. I don't want thanks or even a pat on the back...I just wanna' see the look on the woman's face when she comes home and sees that someone cut her yard, lol.
