DrunkMonkey 0 #1 October 17, 2002 Things I would not miss if Kansas was nuked 1. The weather 2. Cox Internet Access 3. The lack of mountains 4. Wichita's air quality, or lack thereof... 5. The wind. If I enjoyed 30mph winds, I'd move into NASA's windtunnel. 6. The lack of a train system. Some days I'd just like to get hammered and not worry about having a DD or paying $10 for a cab. 7. Women who are only interested in people who treat them like shit. Get one thing straight, ladies: You will never "change" the "bad boy." The only thing you'll get from them requires a penicillin shot the next day. 8. A total lack of interesting scenery 9. Freakish conservatives 10. People who think their religious beliefs should be laws.--hey dumbfucks-- they tried that in Afghanistan--they were called the Taliban 11. Freakishly obsessive Christians (note: I don't mind Christians. See #10) 12. Morbidly obese people 13. Rednecks 14. The almost non-existentness of intellectually stimulating activities in Wichita 15. The almost non-existentness of fall/spring 16. Only 182's fly here, and we're the "Air Capital..."
AggieDave 6 #2 October 17, 2002 Hehe, we have Cox access down here, that's what I'm on, it really sucks, but its cheaper then DSL...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Meathorse 0 #3 October 17, 2002 Wow, harboring a little hatred towards our home state are we? Maybe it's time to move somewhere a bit more interesting, like say.... Nebraska.

Pammi 0 #5 October 17, 2002 ROFL! Well the only thing I'd miss is my poor parents and little brother whom are still out there. Otherwise, NUKE IT, no one will miss it. Hey, at least you didn't grow up on a farm in Dodge City! Talk about nothing to do!!
christoofar 0 #6 October 17, 2002 Kansas would make a good place to put nuclear waste and biohazard trash. ____________________________________________________________ I'm RICK JAMES! Fo shizzle.

kingbunky 3 #8 October 17, 2002 Quote 8. A total lack of interesting scenery it's kinda like the eastern part of alberta, they say it's so flat you can watch your dog run away from home for three days. DrunkMonkey 0 #10 October 17, 2002 Quote Quit bitchin and move!! Not an option, at least until 2003. I am in the USAF, and the pea-brains that pass out assignments sentenced me to pay my dues at McConnell AFB. At least it's not Minot or Grandforks, but it still sucks here. So let me bitch! skydived19006 4 #13 May 6, 2004 There’s a lot I could say in response to this critique of my home state. I have traveled throughout the country, buy have only lived in Kansas. I do agree with Neil on at least one point, we Kansans would be just as happy (if not more) to see him leave as he apparently would be to leave! As far as Kansas being nuked, Neils home at the air base, and Boeing plant are the prime target in Kansas. I guess if it were hit, Neil would be one of the first to “leave us”! I guess you can always find a silver lining if you look for it. And BTW, I love my little 182, she’s made well in excess of 12,000 trips to altitude over the years, and is still one SWEEEEEET little jump plane! WOW, considering what I could have said, I’m amazed how nice I was there!Experience is what you get when you thought you were going to get something else. DrunkMonkey 0 #14 May 6, 2004 Wow Martin, dredge up an 18 month old thread I wrote after I was venting, after the "Other" DZ gave me a hard time... I enjoy ACDZ. 'Twas the "other" DZ I was venting about... Guess I cannot ever vent...
Beerlight 0 #15 May 6, 2004 Got spanked by your DZO. That shit is soooo funny! But look at it this way. Your active duty, and your posting to DZ dot com while ON DUTY... How sweet is that!
