AggieDave 6 #1 May 9, 2004 Yup, never ever watch Van Helsing, you will regret it, then you will wonder how such a bad movie got the budget it got. I'm not worried about the $4 I spent on the ticket, I just wish I had my 2 hours back.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." quade 4 #6 May 10, 2004 I knew it was going to stink on ice, but what are we talking here -- "Battlefield Earth" bad?quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver
AggieDave 6 #7 May 10, 2004 Well, if you go to the movies drunk and drink during the movie, it might not be too bad. Especially if you're with a group of drunk skydivers that don't care about pissing off the rest of the theater...but actually, it could very well pass up Battlefield Earth! I went into it with an open mind, thinking that it might be a "bad" movie that was still entertaining, but I was wrong, very very wrong.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." misskriss 0 #8 May 10, 2004 I disagree... I usually hate movies like that, but I loved it.. my kids loved it too. In fact, I'd see it again. I'm scared easily though so maybe a big , strong Texan like you might just roll their eyeballs at stuff that I'm screaming at..

( See, that's a B movie, you expect it to be bad, but a full on very expensive budget, etc, you really hope that it has atleast good acting if the script sucks. This had both, a shitty script and some really bad acting, but by god, it had some really expensive special effects.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." peacefuljeffrey 0 #13 May 10, 2004 Alright, I borrowed Moulin Rouge free from the library and still I couldn't watch more than the first fifteen minutes or so. What the F*(& was that dog supposed to be about?! Oh, and the sequel to Desperado really sucked and even though I paid to rent it, I turned it off and didn't finish watching it. The title... what was it... oh Once Upon a Time in Mexico. Don't bother with it. Belongs on the trash heap. --Jeffrey "With tha thoughts of a militant mind... Hard line, hard line after hard line!" lawrocket 3 #16 May 10, 2004 They;ve been hawking "Van Helsing" on all the entertainment shows for months now. If they have to hawk it like that, it'll be terrible, guaranteed. My wife is hotter than your wife.
skyyhi 0 #17 May 10, 2004 Okay, in my best critic voice ever. . . Van Helsing. . .great comic relief but I don't think that was the intention of the cast and crew. Dang, could they try to copy any more movies. Kind of Indiana Jones meets the Scorpion King. . .only no decent plot or storyline whatsoever.. . . yeah, I wasted a free movie ticket and 2 hours on it too. . .my bad. . .________________________________________ Take risks not to escape life… but to prevent life from escaping. ~ A bumper sticker at the DZ FGF #6 Darcy
AggieDave 6 #18 May 10, 2004 QuoteVan Helsing. . .great comic relief but I don't think that was the intention of the cast and crew. The group I was with took to saying "And he/she's OK!" quitely after some sort of really bad fall/hit/structure collapse happened to the "stars" of the movie.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #20 May 10, 2004 Quote Hey people, don't forget the last 2 installments of The Matrix, those were 2 stinkers See, I enjoyed those, I went into them thinking "they can't be as good as the first, but they're probably still fun movies" and I enjoyed them. Same with the new Star Wars movies. So from that perspective, you can know that Van Helsing is REALLY bad!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Brodes 0 #22 May 10, 2004 It had the potential to be great, but almost looked like it was 'trying' to be a classic b-grade movie. One of those movies that'll be fun to watch in twenty years when people see how cheesy it is hehe I still enjoyed it though, the werewolf and dracula fighting was cool
