Haiku, sonnet, tanka and villanelle

HELP.....OMG, teachers can be so stupid. They have given my 9th grade honors English student an assignment this last week of school to collect original poetry from people. Well to be honest with you I figure you guys are the most creative people I know so I'm coming to ya'll.

PLEASE post me some of your good ones or make me up some. They can be about the end of school or anything else but they must be clean enough for a 9th grader to turn in.

Thanks in advance gangB|

Here are a couple of my classic-mode haiku

Haiku #17

Shadow of winter
moonlight pale wind through window
weary one is cooled

Haiku #52

Wind defines night's air
strokes faces then continues
there are no borders

Haiku # 29

Distant dog barking
Kin responding in night's air
silence replaces

Edit to add: Not sure why you think this assignment means the teacher is stupid. ps - I am not an english teacher (as you can see from my haiku.)

I'm not a poet or I would contribute. My comment is if it's an honors class, why is it merely a collecting of poetry assignment and not a writing of poetry assignment? That's what makes this a stupid assignment.

My ESL kids write Haiku on a regular basis, and my advanced ESL kids will be writing sonnets before the end of the month.

Honors kids are capable of much more.
