lawrocket 3 #51 May 11, 2004 Ha! I just escorted a potential clinet out the door whose license was suspended because she had a seizure. Not behind the wheel or anything, btu a doctor reported that she had a seizure. She wanted to sue because only one doctor said she had one and others said she just passed out. I told her that she will lose, and that there is nothing I am willing to do. Dang. What a prescient topic. My wife is hotter than your wife.
Paige 0 #52 May 11, 2004 I had a friend in HS with the same problem except he had to go 6 mons. without a seisure to be able to drive. He never could so he had no license. Maybe your state is different. I would have a talk with her and maybe ask her if she thinks it's a good idea to drive and endanger others as she has.Tunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
kelel01 1 #53 May 11, 2004 I actually sent her an e-mail saying that she needs to quit driving until she can get her shit together, since I can never get her on the phone. I'm awaiting a response, but in the meantime, I'm drafting a letter to the DMV. Kelly
Paige 0 #54 May 11, 2004 Drafting a letter to the DMV is a great idea. I know you are supposed to call them with vehicle info. if someone is an out of control driver. Just to be a good citizen. I think if they get enough complaints, they can actually do something about it. Worst case, the DMV just sends you more info on why she is allowed to drive (your states rules) and they tell you they can't do anything. At least they will know and have written record. I think that would be very harmful to her in the case of an accident where others are injured. I'm sure her previous accidents would do enough damage but the letter can never hurt. Sorry you have to go through this, I wish you the best girlieTunnel Pink Mafia Delegate www.TunnelPinkMafia.com
kelel01 1 #55 May 11, 2004 Thanks for the well wishes, Paige. Again, thanks. This is a sticky situation, and I wish I didn't have to be aware of it. Ignorance is bliss, after all. Kelly
happythoughts 0 #56 May 11, 2004 QuoteShe wanted to sue because only one doctor said she had one and others said she just passed out. This was definitely a seizure. To add insult to injury, someone at the scene stole her credit card. The person weighed 110 lbs and was taking the max of Wellbutrin of 450 mg a day. Wellbutrin is known for seizures. A change in meds solved the problem.
Muenkel 0 #57 May 12, 2004 This is exactly how I lost my Grandfather. An epileptic in a seizure drove up on the sidewalk and hit him killing him instantly. Chris
