JALUV2 0 #1 May 25, 2010 I just got my new 7 in from Chuting Star and it looks awesome! I had the opportunity to pack the reserve on Mikes own personal 7 when I went down for the senior riggers course and I just had to have one! The wait was supposed to be 12 weeks but I got mine in just under 8 weeks! Just need to pack my main and can't wait to try it out! Great job Jerome and Great service through Chuting Star! Also thanks to Warren Cleary for the nice clean reserve pack, Looks good Warren, It better open! lol
NovaTTT 2 #2 May 25, 2010 Why are you waiting to pack the main? Put that thing in there and take some more photos - something a bit further back so we can see the entire rig. sundevil777 102 #3 May 25, 2010 It is interesting to me that you have a loop cutaway handle (I use one also), but a pad for the reserve. What is your thinking on that? Also, both of the leg strap adjusters/buckles seem to have something metallic in them that I can't make out, what is it?People are sick and tired of being told that ordinary and decent people are fed up in this country with being sick and tired. I’m certainly not, and I’m sick and tired of being told that I am
likestojump 3 #4 May 25, 2010 it's a spring inside the friction adapter, so there's friction, even without tension.
JALUV2 0 #5 May 26, 2010 Yes that is a loop on the cutaway handle. Upon trying the rig on it does not appear to stick out that far but seems like it would be really nice in the event of a cutaway. Also the reserve pillow is bigger than the one on my Vector 3 and has a more positive feel to it. this is the way it came I did not special order it that way and I have yet to jump this rig but it sure feels nice! Also there is a friction adapter on the leg straps, I like the way it is set up but time will tell how much wear it will cause on the leg straps without careful consideration when taking off or donning. all in all it appears to be a top quality rig with a lot of innovative features! BKR 0 #6 May 26, 2010 Thank you for your comment, Mike is doing a great job as usual. Do not wory with the leg strap hardware they work fine, do not slip and do not affect the webbing either. Have good jumps with it.Jérôme Bunker Basik Air Concept www.basik.fr http://www.facebook.com/pages/Le-Luc-France/BASIK-AIR-CONCEPT/172133350468
Pantanal 0 #7 May 26, 2010 my seven has 180 jumps now and no signs of friction wear on leg stripes. It´s a light tension and I don´t think it could bring any damage with time. Great container, thanks Jerome safe jumpsprego
councilman24 37 #8 May 26, 2010 Wichard makes that friction adapter with built in spring loaded lever on the side to keep the components in position to grip. A better picture is here. http://www.wichard.com/www-precision_wichard-39-UK-ME-forge_precision.html I've seen a better one. Hmm I think it was in a Parachutist mag ad.I'm old for my age. BKR 0 #9 May 26, 2010 The other one is made by CWH, something like that. This company is held by people working for Wichard previously. The spring on their model is set flat against the webbing but the looking is less nicer.Jérôme Bunker Basik Air Concept www.basik.fr http://www.facebook.com/pages/Le-Luc-France/BASIK-AIR-CONCEPT/172133350468
