katiebear21 0 #26 April 22, 2004 I hate the voting process but some of those girls can SING! I hate Ryan Seacrest too. He's a dork! That young girl and the red-headed kid shoud have been eliminated a while ago. QuoteNice avatar! What were ya dressed up for? Went to a Shinedown concert and took a picture of myself to send to Chuckie cuz he's still in NC. QuoteAnd what's the new toy Clay mentions you buying for Chuck? Nothing. He's getting something new - we'll see soon enough... I'm just the facilitator! Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here
sunnydee123 0 #27 April 22, 2004 You still lovin' it despite that Red Headed dipshit still standing there as of last night? You can almost SEE the disbelief in his eyes when he doesn't get cut. I wasn't a fan of the Jennifer girl but she was better then him....I don't get it! It's not a frigin popularity contest...give someone a chance you think will really make it...and that ain't Opie! Snowbird 0 #30 April 22, 2004 LaToya! Absolutely. I was hoping it would come down to her and Jennifer, guess not now. As soon as they were vague about the groupings, I knew something was up. Shocked I am! And all four of the 'top' group knew it was just wrong. I like John's voice. He's just young, needs a handful of years to learn how to use it. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein

Remster 30 #35 April 22, 2004 If you're thinking Star Academie, its not quite the same. The kids on Star Academie are put throught some much tougher training and overall they have more talents they need to use and have to get through. Also, the voting off being based on who the Academie teachers think should be voted off actually weeds out the lesser talented ones faster too...Remster

Atleast that seems to be what is happening this season. Chris _________________________________________ Chris

hooked 0 #39 May 13, 2004 What is wrong with the people who voted Latoya off??? I thank everyone thought Jasmine would be the one to go. I think this voting isn't based on talent, because Latoya wins over Jasmine in a heart beat. Latoya will have a singing career, no doubt about that fact. Misslmperfect 0 #40 May 13, 2004 LMAO im glad someone else here was mad about that! people def arent voting on talent b/c ol' john (dean martin) whatever his name was stayed in waaaay too long hehe...and jasmine shoulda gone tonight and she knew it. her face said it all oh well...latoya will get her record deal regardless ....i feel like my grandma with her soap operas (or her "stories" as she calls em)Oh Canada, merci pour la livraison! tigra 0 #41 May 13, 2004 I think LaToya was ready to go, and probably better off. Once her obligation to American Idol is over (probably after the summer tour?) she'll have much more control over her career than whoever wins. Jasmine has been over rated from day one. Has anyone else noticed that whatever songs she's performed were arranged so that she mainly sang the choruses with the glory notes, but she was always weak on the rest of the melody? And you can tell from the past few weeks that her voice is just fried anyway. She'll be gone next week. If Simon and Randy hadn't made her cry, she would have been gone last night! Muenkel 0 #42 May 13, 2004 Let's be honest, this is a show the teen audience owns. They are the ones who have the time to hit speed dial for 2 hours each week. But then again, when has an "American Idol" or teen idol not been decided by the teen demographic? LaToya truly was the most seasoned and consistent and deserved the prize. However, she will get her recording contract. I think she eluded to that last night when she said "You'll see me again." My thought is she has already been given some offers. I have way too much time on my hands. _________________________________________ Chris
tigra 0 #43 May 13, 2004 Oh its definitely more about age than anything else. The oldest remaining contestant is 19. But I also think Diana has an amazing voice, she's very talented, and Fantasia is a great all around performer. At least 2 of the top 3 deserve to be there, regardless. I didn't watch the show last night, but I knew from LaToya's comments Tuesday that she was ready to move on. She pretty much said as much- made some comment that her career (and the other 3 as well) was already set regardless of the outcome! Still, blame Simon for encouring all of Hawaii to vote over and over again, and for making Jasmine cry! No one likes to see a pretty 17 year old cry! (edited for spelling and typos.....) katiebear21 0 #44 May 13, 2004 Chuck and I are so pissed that we've boycotted the show for the rest of the season. What pissed me off the most was how Jasmine reacted. She should have looked embarrassed - not happy. Hell, Diana even knew she was lucky to still be there. Aggggg! SkymonkeyONE 4 #45 May 13, 2004 I can't believe that we actually followed this show all season, but last night made me want to punch a fucking hole in the wall. Unbelievable. Jasmin sucks. Latoya will, if she doesn't already, have the best contract out of any of them though. Fantasia will kick ass once it's over too.
Remster 30 #46 May 13, 2004 The world of reality TV has imploded on itself. First, Amber wins survivor, and now, Latoya gets the boot. The world as we know it has no more meaning....Remster

tigra 0 #48 May 13, 2004 No, I think it was pity votes. Almost every time Simon is especially harsh to someone, they "live" to see another week no matter how bad they were.
bbarnhouse 0 #49 May 14, 2004 I havent followed the show all season, but I know talent when I hear it and Jasmine aint it! She sang most of the songs with intonation that was often flat as well as poor inflexion. She never displayed a sense of timing and often forgot the lyrics. UGH! She should have been out and LaToya and Fantasia in. I have to agree....America was just plain ol wrong on that one.
BoostedXT 0 #50 May 14, 2004 The hawaii girl is cool....great voice too. I lived near Diana Degarmo in Georgia for the last few months. Family is cool, and so is she. Do I think she should win? No.....I dont think she is ready yet....she is 16. Latoya was awesome.....but as stated above she should have been voted off way long time ago...so she can sign her own deal and get cracking....now she has a voice!!! I dont know who will win, dont really care.....since skydiving I stopped getting cable so I dont watch it anymore.....lol.
