Posion Ivy

I've read that urushiol (the oil from poison ivy) causes allergic reactions in over 85% of people, making it one of the most allergenic substances known.

Heehee, I'm on of the 15% who isn't. I was always mad when my brother (who has a whole host of violent, crazy allergies) got out of school after rubbing up against some.

Just keep swimming...just keep swimming....

You can spread it by scratching immediately after exposure (while the offending urushiol is still on your skin) and then touching or scratching elsewhere.

yeah, that's actually how it probably happened.

I got my poison ivy while hiking & trying to take a shortcut. But today I went through my little backyard and removed something like 20 little poison ivy plants. That shit grows everywhere! But now I'm paranoid about it so I'm actually looking for it.
Before this, I hadn't had a poison ivy rash in many years.
